Austrian Airlines is operating flights to another tourist destination, offering a weekly (Saturdays) service to Marrakech (RAK) from its Vienna (VIE) hub from 14 November. Services to Marrakech will be operated using an A319 and will be offered until 2 April 2016.
Austrian Airlines operating flights to Marrakech
The new Moroccan route continues the Austrian national carrier’s recent focus on tourist destinations during the winter season, joining new long-haul leisure points of Mauritius and Colombo. Competition on the 2,765-kilometre airport pair comes from NIKI (twice-weekly) and SunExpress Germany (weekly). This brings to 86 the number of destinations currently served by Austrian Airlines non-stop from Vienna, of which nine are served with just a single weekly flight. The other weekly services are to Antalya, Colombo, Gran Canaria, Hurghada, Lanzarote, Malé, Mauritius and Tenerife South.
