1st day: Departure on the morning towards the High Atlas mountains at the summit of 2.260 m to see the Berber villages and you stop along the way to explore the nice sceneries and landscapes of the Atlas region. Lunch will be in the lovely Irocha guest house. After relaxation, you start with a local guide to do some hiking and walking in the mountains to see nice valleys and the beautiful sights of the Atlas Mountains. Later in the afternoon, you come back for dinner and night in Irocha guest house.
2nd day: Early morning departure with 4×4 from Irocha. We take a little dirt road for a visit of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous kasbah. Lunch in Kasbah Tamnougalte. The trip goes through the valley of the Draa River with millions of palm trees and old kasbahs, partly off road. After Zagora you will have a stop at Tamgroute to visit the famous coran library and underground kasbah, night with dinner will be in our guest house in M’hamid, Kasbah Sahara Services.
3rd day: After a nice breakfast you do 2 hours camel ride in the midst of the desert. Around 10:30 you are picked up there from the 4×4 and you will travel through a beautiful desert landscape to Oasis Sacrée (holy oasis) for lunch break. The Oasis Sacrée consists of a small group of palm trees around a source in the midst of the desert, whith running water the whole year. The nomads come with their herds for soaking. At 16 o’clock departure. After further 15 km we reach the dunes of Chegaga. This largest group of dunes of the region reaches a height of 300 m on a length of 40 km. We spend the night directly in nomad tents at the dunes. Dinner with entertainment.
4th day: After breakfast, you do one hour camel ride in the big dunes, afterwards, departure in 4×4 on the old Paris – Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Lac Iriqui, lunch break in Taznakht. We arrive in Marrakech at app. 18.30.
