Mosques and holy sites can not be visited by non-Muslims (except the tomb of King Mohammed V in Rabat, the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail in Meknes, and the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca). The Muslim weekly holiday is Friday, many businesses are then closed temporarily. Respectful approach when photographing is desired, many believers refuse to have taken pictures. (Taking pictures of restricted areas, military facilities, dams and airports is prohibited.)

Please keep in mind when selecting your wardrobe, that Morocco is a country whose population lives in part, strictly religious and conservative. Very short shorts, mini skirts and sleeveless blouses or dresses are inappropriate outside the resorts.
